TYRANNY AGAINST DOCTORS IN INDIA.

When the truth ( Power of Mother/Parent Nature ) itself is not absolute and changes with every passing moment, I wonder with utterly disgust about the people of Calcutta, West Bengal, especially uneducated ( in it's real sense ) Bengalis along with their leader chief minister and political party, what confers them with the audacity to extract guarantee from doctors about 100% recovery of their patients undergoing complicated, high risk surgeries or admitted with serious medical issues and harassing or even manhandling the doctors in case of a fatal outcome, with their leader instigating them, especially the political party goons/patient party at every step. In some states of India, especially West Bengal, we are probably living in the Moghul age of the comical, crazy emperor Mohammed Bin Tughlak !!! Another famous poet and litterateur of Bengal, Sukumar Roy, father of Satyajit Roy the renowned film director, had once said in one of his funny but highly metaphorical poem in his book Abol Tabol, meaning Crazy talks, Shib thakurer apon deshe, ain kanun sabbaneshe, meaning, The laws of justice in Lord SHIVA'S own country is ridiculous !!! And not only this, a foolish, short sighted prime minister of our country who is a silent accomplice to this heinous crime, who thinks that he can win the hearts of Indian democracy under his false facade of pompous orations in serious religious tones, belonging to a political party whose non-secular policies and policies against human rights and some other pro-hindu policies against the core message of our Constitution, shouts a callous, blunt ambience of dictatorship in my mind ! These crooked political scoundrels always act for the sustenance of their own party/vote banks and never for greater good. Not only this, he passed some obnoxious remarks against the Indian doctors while in USA, forgetting it would implicate the medical fraternity of India as a whole, majority of whom are doing a thankless job of healing others through innumerable sacrifices ! Perhaps we should ask him to study medicine and become a doctor first and only then pass his imbecile, idiotic remarks ! Why comment adversely on a noble profession of which you don't have even the slightest idea ? There is an idiom in Bengali, Alpa Vidya Bhayankari, meaning, a little knowledge is terrifyingly dangerous especially in this age of information explosion ! For the folly and treachery of a few, the whole family of martyrs got executed ! Such retarded is the intelligence/stupidity of our prime minister ! Why don't we ask these politicians and some devilish patient parties always on the lookout for a discounted or even free overall expense by taking the leverage of natural/fatal calamities, to exchange our coveted seats, them being the doctors and we the critical parties and then we shall revell in their dilemma which we doctors have to face day in and day out with the Damocles sword hovering above our heads of intellect ! Let that sword shift over to their filthy heads ! GOOD LORD, DELIVER US FROM THIS PREDICAMENT ! One of my esteemed friend in WBDF asked me yesterday whether admission of patients have been banned under MBBS doctors ! I couldn't answer him as I am fortunate enough to be presently residing in a state other than West Bengal Calcutta, where I find my patients gentlemanly, civilised, respectful and grateful ! In any case what prevents patients to get themselves admitted under only a MBBS doctor who is competent and experienced enough to deal with his/her patient's problems ? Contrary to developed countries our patients and higher authorities give too much importance to sometimes sterile qualifications rather than deserving and worthwhile hands-on experience ! After all the junior MBBS ( may not be junior in experience ) doctors have always and still now form the backbone of the selfless medical services that we offer at a price which is sometimes ridiculously low but always topped with a fresh rosy red cherry of innumerable sacrifices and our blood and sweat, not to mention about a 24 hours vigil 365 days a year ! MBBS doctors sometimes have a knowledge of various specialities which even a specialist dealing with a single discipline can either be proud or ashamed of ! I am a MBBS myself ! As far as my memory goes, it's written in our degree certificate that we may practise medicine, surgery and midwifery. I don't know whether midwifery means only conduction of normal delivery or gynaecology and obstetrics, holistically ! And additionally any doctor can always take the help and experience of his colleagues, teachers and more experienced doctors if his patient's situation calls for the same ! Is our chief minister's fertile figment of imagination of vengeful prohibitions upon doctors fertilised not by the holy cow dung but the obnoxious and stenchy man dung of her close confidante bunch of goons, saying otherwise ? They will, the wicked will come to know the awesome power of doctors which revells itself in being good and benevolent and healing but can be devastating too if such a need arises ! The reckoning hour is eagerly waiting United we stand, the rest part you know. I read somewhere that doctors have the right to refuse treatment to someone, is this true ? According to the present law of the land, doctors are running a business to provide services to his consumer patients for which he is remunerated, however meagre and laughable it might be, especially in these days of fees capping ! Which business in this world is noble without doing much profit still except ours, being a business nevertheless where there is no option to show nobility but a formal covenance only, which might not even ensure it's promises due to the elements of uncertainty and nature of business in a science which is not exact and unpredictable ? When people die due to poisonous adulteration of mustard oil, country liquor or houses/bridges collapse, nothing much is there for the ABP news to feed upon except for a couple of days of repeating the same news over and over again for profit and nothing much is done to punish the perpetrators of the crime so that they fail to straighten up their spine again ! But when a patient dies in the hands of a doctor, the worthless and scoundrels politicians have nothing left in their dirty coffers filled with skeletons but to instigate the society and the patient party to raise an unjust hue and cry against him and is bent on punishing him, as if by sending him to the depths of Hell for eternity Doctors are the most accurate definition of civilised human beings, and not only to err is human but we don't suppress the truth about the possibilities of future outcome of our patients which might be unpredictable even in a slightest intervention, medical/surgical/ otherwise ! We are accustomed to the infernal heat of hellfire where we sacrifice our present lives and we are waiting for the grand time with it's spirit of justice to behead the Medussal heads of all those wicked thugs and politicians who desecrate our sacred church harbouring the sick, wounded, poor and suffering helpless whom at least we try to heal, without worshipping any damned god of the hypocrites ! When at one time I used to explain the pros and cons of a high risk surgery to the patient party they would often ask at the end, So you are giving guarantee doctor that our patient would survive the operation ? Without going into the details of their idiocy and retarded minds inspite of my thorough explanation for seeking an informed consent, I would nonchalantly say, Sir/Madam can you yourself give me a guarantee that you will continue to stay alive in this world until tomorrow even being a relatively healthier person than your patient ? Obviously they had to keep silent ! So called false political leaders inculcate this false sense of uncalled for security in their minds just with the object of harassing doctors ! People now even dictate the time of birth of their babies to their gynaecologist not relying on the time that the Mother Nature has fixed for the child. They depend more on their shitty astrologers and most surprisingly, except for emergencies, some surgeons even comply to those unfaithful and outrageous dictations !!! We should change our attitude too, finally it's the attitude to your profession which matters most !
